I'm a People Development Consultant, Mindfulness Practitioner, Coach and Artist and have run my own company, mindtrip since 2004 which focuses on helping people to flourish in their daily lives, both in and out of work.
I was first introduced to mind training in 1999 and have my own regular daily mindfulness practice. I have undertaken two teaching retreats in mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR) and mindfulness based cognitive therapy (MBCT) with the Centre for Mindfulness research and Practice at the University of Bangor. My teachers include Michael Chaskalson, Jody Mardula, Trish Bartley and Sarah Silverton. I have completed advanced teacher training with Erik Van den Brink on mindfulness based compassionate living (MBCL) and I've trained with the Potential Project in their Corporate based mindfulness training (CBMT) programme and Mindfulness in Schools’ .bfoundations (for teachers) and pawsb (7-11 year olds). I've also attended training in Deep Listening with Ros Oliver along with workshops with Professor Paul Gilbert, Professor Tania Singer and Dr Kristen Neff focused on understanding the research, neuroscience and practice of developing compassion.
